Our Perspective

Our perspective on this property

Hampi Heritage & Wilderness Resort is the only JLR property that combines a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a wildlife sanctuary. Hampi is world-famous: the ruined capital of the Vijayanagara Empire, one of the greatest archaeological sites in Asia. This resort sits at the edge of the Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary, approximately 12–15 km from the ruins, with the red rocky Deccan Plateau landscape spreading in every direction.

The package is unusually comprehensive — jeep transport to Hampi heritage sites, jeep safari into Daroji, bird watching, all meals and forest entry charges. Guests do not need to arrange separate vehicles or guides for either Hampi or the sanctuary.

Important: no alcohol is served on the property — Hampi is a heritage and pilgrimage city. Cottages 9–11 are nearest the sanctuary boundary (best for wildlife views). Cottages 15–19 are nearest the dining area (better for families and elderly). Call us and we will help you choose the right cottage and plan your complete Hampi itinerary.
