KSTDC Tour Packages — Karnataka & South India
Illustrative AI image of the region.
Which KSTDC tour should you choose?
Start with the kind of trip you want, the number of days available and who is travelling. The detailed tour pages then explain the itinerary, fares, accommodation and practical booking points for each package.
For beaches and coastal sightseeing, compare the Goa/Gokarna circuits and South Canara options. For Kerala, the Thekkady–Alleppey–Munnar and related circuits combine hills, backwaters and sightseeing in a conducted-tour format.
👴 Travelling with senior citizens
Choose by journey length, overnight travel, walking and itinerary pace rather than destination alone. Padaki Travel Desk can help shortlist tours based on the travellers' ages and mobility.
👨👩👧 First conducted tour or family trip
If fixed reporting times and a group itinerary are acceptable, KSTDC can simplify transport and sightseeing. Families needing frequent breaks or a highly flexible pace may prefer a customised private tour.

How KSTDC conducted tours work
A KSTDC conducted tour is different from a private holiday. Knowing the format before choosing a package helps avoid surprises later.
Fixed itinerary & timings
The group follows scheduled departure, sightseeing, hotel and return timings. This works well for travellers who want organised coverage rather than a self-paced holiday.
Overnight journeys
Some multi-day packages use the first and/or last night for overnight coach travel. Check the individual itinerary to understand how many nights are actually hotel stays.
Accommodation & occupancy
Multi-day tour fares can vary by single, double or triple occupancy. Check the individual tour page for the applicable room arrangement and child policy.
Meals, tickets & extras
Do not assume every expense is included because it is a package. Meals, monument entry, ferry charges, special darshan or other local expenses can vary by tour.
Seniors & families
Journey duration, overnight travel, walking and the pace of sightseeing can matter more than the destination itself. Consider the needs of the oldest and youngest travellers before choosing.
Boarding & reporting
Boarding point, departure time and reporting requirements are tour-specific. Read the individual package details and arrive early; conducted tours operate to a fixed schedule.
KSTDC conducted tour or a private customised tour?
Neither format is automatically better. The right choice depends on how much structure or flexibility your group needs.

Group 1 — About KSTDC tour packages
What are the different types of KSTDC tour packages available?
KSTDC tours from Bengaluru fall into a few broad types: hill station tours (Ooty, Coonoor, Wayanad, Kodaikanal, Munnar, Coorg), pilgrimage and temple tours (South Karnataka temples, Tirupathi, Mantralaya, South Canara), heritage and historical circuits (Hampi, Badami, Bijapur, Belur, Halebid), and coastal tours (Goa, Gokarna, Pondicherry). Several tours combine more than one of these themes in a single itinerary.
Which are the best KSTDC tour packages from Bangalore?
The right tour depends on what you’re looking for. For a quick getaway, one and two-day hill station tours to Ooty or Nanjangud-Bandipur are popular. For pilgrimage, the South Karnataka Temple Tour and Tirupathi Kalahasti Darshan are widely booked. For heritage, the Hampi-Badami-Bijapur circuit is a favourite. Call or WhatsApp us and we’ll recommend a tour based on your group, available dates and interests.
Are there one-day KSTDC tour packages from Bangalore?
Yes, KSTDC operates one-day tours from Bengaluru, including a Mysore day trip and a Mysore-to-Ooty route. These are ideal for travellers with limited time who still want to cover key sights without an overnight stay.
Where can I see the full list of KSTDC tour packages?
All KSTDC tour packages booked through Padaki Travel Desk are listed on this page, grouped by hill stations, pilgrimage, heritage, coastal and Kerala circuits. Click on any tour to see its detailed itinerary, schedule and inclusions.
Group 2 — Booking and payment
How do I book a KSTDC tour package?
It is quite simple. Just call or WhatsApp us at +91 97315 56663, or email muralidhar@karnatakatravelguide.in with your preferred tour, travel date and number of travellers. We confirm availability at the same official KSTDC price and guide you through the booking process.
Are there any travel agents who book these KSTDC tour packages and what is the advantage?
There are many advantages when you call us. First and foremost, we are just one phone call away and always available to chat on WhatsApp. There is no extra cost — you pay the same official KSTDC fare either way. Booking through us gets you a real person to call for questions before and during your trip, faster responses, and help choosing the right tour if you’re unsure. We don’t charge any booking fee on top of the KSTDC price.
What documents do I need to carry while travelling?
Carry a valid original government photo ID (Aadhaar, passport, driving licence or voter ID) for every traveller, along with your booking confirmation.
Can I get a family package for a KSTDC tour?
KSTDC tours are priced per person rather than as a fixed family package, with single, double and triple occupancy rates depending on the tour. Children are typically charged at a reduced rate up to a certain age. Call us with your family size and we’ll work out the most suitable room and seating arrangement.
How do you charge for a child in a KSTDC tour?
In all the tours, children below 5 years are totally complimentary — there is no charge and no seat provided. Children who are 5 years and above get a separate seat and are charged as per the extra occupancy rates.
Is LTC facility available for these KSTDC tours?
Yes, if you are eligible to claim LTC, you can very much do so on these tours. All you have to do is visit the KSTDC office after the tour, along with your ticket and a valid ID card, and request them to issue the LTC certificate. It is that simple.
Group 3 — Boarding, timing and travel
Where is the KSTDC boarding point in Bangalore?
Most KSTDC tours depart from the KSTDC Booking Counter at BMTC Bus Stand, Yeshwanthpura, Bengaluru. The exact pickup point and departure time are confirmed on each tour’s individual page and again at the time of booking.
Can I board the bus from a location other than Yeshwanthpura?
KSTDC tours are designed to depart from a single fixed boarding point, usually Yeshwanthpura, and generally do not offer pickup from other locations. If you have a specific requirement, let us know at the time of booking and we’ll confirm whether any flexibility is possible for your tour.
At what time should I report for departure?
Reporting time is specific to each tour and should be checked on that tour’s page and booking confirmation. Conducted tours depart on schedule and do not wait for latecomers, so please plan to arrive early.
Group 4 — Cancellation and changes
How do I cancel a tour I’ve already booked directly with KSTDC?
If you booked directly with KSTDC and not through Padaki Travel Desk, please contact KSTDC directly for cancellation, since we would not have visibility into a booking made independently of us. If you booked through Padaki Travel Desk, call or WhatsApp us and we’ll handle the cancellation on your behalf as per KSTDC’s standard cancellation policy.
Group 5 — Inclusions, comfort and safety
What is included and excluded in a KSTDC tour package?
Most KSTDC tours include AC coach transportation, non-AC accommodation where applicable, and a professional guide, with GST included in the fare. Meals, entry tickets at monuments, and personal expenses are usually not included unless specifically mentioned. Exact inclusions and exclusions are listed on each tour’s individual page.
Is it safe for families and individual women travelling alone?
KSTDC tours are widely used by families, senior citizen groups and solo women travellers, and operate with a professional guide accompanying the group throughout. As with any group tour, we recommend staying with the group during scheduled stops and keeping your belongings secure. If you have specific safety questions before booking, we’re happy to answer them over a call.
Do senior citizens get any discount on KSTDC tours?
Yes, senior citizens (60 years and above) receive a 20% discount on transportation on most KSTDC tours. Valid age proof must be carried and produced at the time of booking and boarding.
Will the tour guide speak Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and English?
KSTDC tour guides are typically multilingual and commonly converse in Kannada, Hindi and English. Fluency in Tamil or Telugu specifically can vary by guide and tour, so if this matters for your group, let us know in advance and we’ll check availability for your specific departure.
